Position Overview

Key Staffing is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity with an established healthcare organization in Visalia. This float position supports four local clinics and requires experience in both front and back office operations.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and committed to providing excellent patient care and customer service while supporting different clinic teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide front and back office support across four clinics in Visalia.
• Greet patients, assist with check-in and check-out, and verify patient information.
• Schedule appointments, answer calls, and assist with patient inquiries.
• Verify insurance information and maintain accurate patient records.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document relevant information in the electronic health record.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist providers with patient visits and procedures within the medical assistant’s authorized scope.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized examination rooms.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinic staff.
• Follow patient confidentiality, infection control, and clinic procedures.
• Travel between clinic locations as needed to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification required.
• Previous experience in both front and back office medical assisting required.
• Experience with electronic health records and accurate documentation.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to different clinic workflows and manage competing priorities.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work the full scheduled shift.
• Ability to use a personal vehicle for travel between clinic locations in Visalia; mileage reimbursement is provided.
