Warehouse Supervisor 2nd Shift

SUMMARY

A growing distribution company is looking for a hands-on, bilingual (English/Spanish) Transfer Operations Supervisor to oversee second-shift warehouse operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring products are accurately received, organized, labeled, and shipped to other company distribution facilities throughout North America.

The ideal candidate will have strong warehouse leadership experience, a background in shipping, receiving, and inventory management, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple distribution locations, including facilities in Canada and Mexico. This is a working supervisor position requiring active involvement in daily warehouse operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate daily second-shift warehouse transfer operations, including receiving, sorting, labeling, staging, and shipping products between company locations.
• Lead, train, and support warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel to ensure efficient and accurate product movement.
• Work hands-on alongside warehouse employees to support daily operations, resolve issues, and meet shipping deadlines.
• Coordinate inventory transfers and shipment schedules with seven other company locations, including facilities in Canada and Mexico.
• Communicate regularly with other distribution centers regarding product availability, transfer requests, shipment status, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure all transferred products are properly identified, labeled, packaged, and documented before shipment.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies, shortages, damaged products, or shipping errors.
• Oversee the preparation and verification of transfer orders, shipping documentation, and inventory transactions.
• Prioritize daily workloads, assign tasks, and monitor team productivity to ensure timely completion of transfer activities.
• Coordinate with warehouse management, inventory control, and transportation teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures, company policies, and established operating standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, transfer accuracy, workflow efficiency, and overall productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution center, shipping/receiving, or logistics environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and other company locations.
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory transfers, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.
• Experience coordinating inventory movements or shipments between multiple warehouses or distribution centers preferred.
• Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to assist employees directly on the warehouse floor.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, or ERP systems.
• Ability to organize workloads, manage competing priorities, and meet shipping deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment preferred.
• Ability to work the scheduled second shift, 3:00 PM–12:00 AM.
