Job Description
HTF Staffing is urgently seeking 2–3 qualified Special Education Teachers for full-time school-based opportunities in Rantoul, Illinois. We are looking for dedicated educators who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs in inclusive and resource classroom settings.
Position Details
- Position: Special Education Teacher
- Location: Rantoul, IL 61866
- Openings: 2–3
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Grade Levels: Kindergarten–2nd Grade (2 positions) and 6th–8th Grade.
- Caseload: Approximately 10–12 students for K–2 positions
- Classroom Setting: Co-taught/resource classrooms with some students requiring higher levels of support
- Schedule:
- K–2: 7:30 AM–3:15 PM
- Grades 6–8: 7:45 AM–3:40 PM
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment End Date: May 27, 2027, with a possible extension through June 4, 2027, depending on emergency days.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and developmental needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff in co-taught and resource settings.
- Provide accommodations and modifications to promote student success.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support students who require additional instructional assistance.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I) endorsement required.
- Experience working with students in special education settings preferred.
- Experience in co-taught, resource, or higher-support classrooms is a plus.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
