CNC Machinist

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to support its aerospace precision machining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with CNC lathe setup, operation, troubleshooting, and precision machining. Experience with mill-turn machines, live tooling, and multi-axis machining is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathe and mill-turn machines.
• Machine precision aerospace components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measurement instruments.
• Select appropriate tooling, offsets, and machining parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve machining issues while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers, engineering, and production teams to improve machining processes.
• Maintain quality standards, follow safety procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in CNC lathe setup and operation within a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience machining aerospace or other tight-tolerance components.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Experience using precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and maintain consistent part quality.
• Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred.
• Mill-turn, live tooling, multi-spindle, and multi-axis machining experience is a plus.
