Off-Road Haul Truck Driver

Roebuck Staffing is seeking dependable and safety-conscious Off-Road Haul Truck Drivers for an opportunity in Aurora, NC. In this role, you will operate a 40-ton off-road haul truck to transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the site.

The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to detail, committed to following safety procedures, and comfortable working a rotating day and night shift schedule. Candidates must be willing to complete required training and follow all site-specific safety requirements.

• Safely operate a 40-ton off-road haul truck to transport materials throughout the mine site.

• Complete pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns or safety issues.

• Follow designated routes, site procedures, and instructions from supervisors.

• Communicate equipment issues, incidents, and other concerns to the appropriate supervisor or designated contact.

• Maintain awareness of surrounding vehicles, equipment, personnel, and changing site conditions.

• Follow all required safety procedures, training guidelines, and site regulations.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily mining operations.

This position follows a rotating swing-shift schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts:

• Work 6 consecutive day shifts.

• Have 3 consecutive days off.

• Work 6 consecutive night shifts.

• Have 3 consecutive days off.

• Continue rotating between day and night shifts.

Applicants must be comfortable working both day and night shifts, including the rotating schedule and extended workdays.

• Training pay: $14.00 per hour.

• Post-training pay: $16.00 per hour upon successful completion of training.

• Training is required before operating independently.

• Must be able to pass the required background check.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Must have reliable transportation to and from the work location.

• Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work safely around heavy equipment.

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to obtain Forklift Operator’s certification.
6 mths – 1 year experience in mechanical assembly preferred.
Farming Background preferred.
Required Qualifications
Ability to listen, understand and follow verbal instructions.
Ability to use all air and power tools (ex: drills, air ratchet, etc.)
Good Interpersonal and Communication skills are required in working with personnel at all levels
within the organization.
Must follow, practice, and adhere to all company procedures, polices, and safety measures.
