About this job
Job Description
Join a closeknit electrical team working across industrial, agricultural, and commercial environments, including dairies, supermarkets, and occasional new residential projects. This role requires a wellrounded electrician who can confidently perform pipe bending, wire pulling, fixture installation, and motor control and PLC troubleshooting while adapting to a variety of job sites and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform industrial and agricultural electrical work in facilities such as dairies, supermarkets, and other commercial and industrial locations, with occasional new residential projects.
- Install, bend, thread, and run various types of conduit, including EMT and OCAL, ensuring clean, accurate, and codecompliant installations.
- Pull wire and install electrical fixtures, panels, and related equipment according to schematics and project specifications.
- Troubleshoot motor controls and PLC systems, diagnose electrical issues, and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings to plan and execute installations and repairs safely and efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with a crew of electricians, contributing to a respectful, teamoriented environment and supporting coworkers as needed.
- Handle a wide range of duties rather than focusing on a single specialty, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on all aspects of the work.
- Provide service and maintenance in industrial and commercial settings, ensuring reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements while working on industrial, agricultural, commercial, and residential job sites.
- Maintain a professional driving record in accordance with company standards for site travel and service calls.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a wellrounded electrician with exposure to industrial, commercial, or agricultural environments.
- Strong proficiency in pipe bending, including conduit bending, threading, and installation for EMT and OCAL conduit.
- Handson experience pulling wire, running conduit, and installing electrical fixtures and related equipment.
- Acceptable DMV driving record with minimal points and no DUI.
- Willingness to perform all required duties and not limit work to a single specialty area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in both commercial and industrial electrical fields.
- Comfort working in agricultural environments, including dairy facilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, tightknit crew.
- Eagerness to learn and openness to training to expand skills and responsibilities.
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail when working with motor controls, PLCs, and complex electrical systems.
Work Environment
Work takes place primarily at industrial and dairy sites, as well as commercial locations such as supermarkets, with occasional new residential projects. Electricians typically work alongside a crew of about five colleagues in a closeknit environment where team members treat each other with respect and operate like family. The role involves regular use of EMT and OCAL conduit, motor controls, PLC systems, and other industrial electrical equipment. The schedule offers the opportunity for overtime, with up to six working days per week and days that can extend to approximately 9.5 hours or more. The environment emphasizes safety, collaboration, and a willingness to learn, with training available for those who are eager to expand their skills.
