This 268-bed regional referral center holds a Level II Trauma Center designation and provides acute care services across inpatient settings to a broad patient population. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and hospital staff to support continuous care delivery. Clinical resources are in place to facilitate effective obstetric and gynecologic care throughout all assigned coverage periods.

Kearney offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of cultural, historical, and outdoor experiences suited to varied interests. Attractions include the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument, the American Automobile Experience, and the Museum of Nebraska Art. Outdoor recreation options include the Kearney Water Trail, golf courses, splash pads, and trails, while additional destinations such as the Children's Museum, Fort Kearny State Historical Park, and The Bricks Creative District provide further options. The University of Nebraska Kearney also contributes to the area's cultural and community offerings.

Clinicians will provide inpatient obstetric and gynecologic coverage through 24-hour call assignments at an on-site facility, with coverage spanning October 2026 through April 2027. Clinical responsibilities include responding to the emergency department for precipitous deliveries and managing both vaginal and cesarean deliveries as required. Gynecologic call coverage is also required, encompassing emergency department consultation and treatment as clinically indicated. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and hospital staff are available to support clinical operations throughout each designated coverage period.
