Since 1947, Kilwins has been known for handcrafted chocolates, Mackinac Island Fudge, caramel apples, and Original Recipe ice cream. We’re dedicated to quality products, warm hospitality, and exceptional Guest experiences. 

We’re seeking a dependable, hands-on Confectionery Keyholder to lead daily store operations, support our team, and assist with confectionery production.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Independently open and close the store, including cash counting, register balancing, and daily procedures.

● Oversee daily operations, coordinate staff schedules, assign tasks, and follow up to ensure responsibilities are completed.

● Lead, train, and support team members while maintaining accountability, productivity, and a positive work environment.

● Manage shift priorities, resolve operational challenges, and communicate important updates to management.

● Deliver outstanding Guest service, assist with purchases, and professionally resolve Guest concerns.

● Prepare chocolates, fudge, caramel apples, and other confections following Kilwins’ recipes and quality standards.

● Coordinate daily production, monitor product freshness, and maintain well-stocked displays.

● Assist with ice cream service, waffle cone preparation, packaging, and register operations.

● Maintain cleanliness, food safety, inventory organization, and overall store presentation.

● Lead by example, demonstrating reliability, initiative, and teamwork.

What We’re Looking For

● At least 1 year of supervisory, shift leadership, or keyholder experience, preferably in retail, food service, or hospitality.

● Experience with cash handling, register balancing, and opening and closing procedures.

● Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate, train, and hold team members accountable.

● Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

● Ability to work independently, multitask, solve problems, and take ownership of assigned shifts.

● Dependable, punctual, positive, and committed to exceptional Guest service.

● Attention to detail and commitment to quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

● Willingness to learn confectionery production. Previous confectionery experience is a plus, but not required.

● Ability to stand for extended periods and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in the retail industry
• Food Service license/certification: Food Handler's License
