An established manufacturer of engineered steel storage systems used in water, wastewater, agriculture, and industrial markets is adding an AutoCAD Drafter / Detailer to its drafting group. You will turn incoming orders into customer approval drawings and build-ready manufacturing drawings, and grow into solid modeling and drafting automation. Strong AutoCAD hands and real mechanical aptitude matter more here than pedigree, and there is a clear path toward Inventor and automation work.

• Anticipated $22/hr to $31/hr, based on experience and skills
• Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K w/ match, PTO, holidays
• Direct hire, 5 days on site, standard hours approx. 8:00 to 4:00

• Produce general arrangement and manufacturing drawings for steel storage tanks and related equipment in AutoCAD, accurate and build-ready the first time
• Turn incoming orders into customer approval drawings on a daily cycle, keeping approvals moving and the shop fed
• Improve drafting speed and accuracy against tracked personal metrics, and help standardize the group's drafting workflow
• Apply lean methods to raise individual and team throughput
• Partner with engineering and IT to automate repetitive drafting steps
• Support development and design projects as they come up

• Degree or technical certificate in Computer-Aided Design or drafting preferred
• 1+ year of hands-on AutoCAD experience required (technical-school experience counts)
• Strongly Preferred - mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings
• Solid modeling experience preferred (Autodesk Inventor or similar), roughly 1+ year
• Drafting automation a plus (iLogic, AutoLISP, VBA, or C++)
• Experience designing or detailing tanks, vessels, or fabricated steel equipment a plus
• Comfortable in a self-directed, fast-paced environment; proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Able to work on site 5 days a week; minimal travel
