Job Summary
The Frame Doffer is responsible for removing finished material from textile machinery and replacing it with empty packages or preparing the machine for continued production. This role helps keep production running efficiently by monitoring materials, assisting machine operators, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Textile experience is a plus, but candidates with manufacturing experience who are willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Remove finished material or packages from textile frame machinery.
- Replace full packages with empty ones as needed to keep production running.
- Assist with material changes and machine preparation.
- Monitor materials for defects or production issues.
- Ensure materials are handled properly and moved to the appropriate area.
- Assist machine operators with routine production tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety and production procedures.
- Report equipment issues or production concerns to the supervisor.
- Meet production and quality expectations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or textile experience preferred.
- Textile experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle materials throughout the shift.
- Willingness to learn textile equipment and production procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs., if required.
- Ability to work a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule and overtime as needed.
- Steel-toed boots or shoes required. All other PPE provided by the client.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
