Pay Rate: $17.00/hour (1st Shift) | $18.00/hour (2nd Shift)
Schedule:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
2nd Shift: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Wise Staffing Group has immediate openings for Entry-Level Production Associates in Decatur, AL. Our client is a leading manufacturer of sustainable insulation products that help improve energy efficiency, comfort, and safety in homes and commercial buildings.

This is a great opportunity for dependable individuals looking to begin or grow a career in manufacturing. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required, and training will be provided.

Position Summary

The Entry-Level Production Associate will support daily manufacturing operations, packaging, material handling, quality inspections, and housekeeping activities. Successful candidates will be safety-conscious, reliable, and willing to learn production processes and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Assist with operating and monitoring production equipment after training.
Load raw materials and supplies into designated production areas.
Package, label, stack, and palletize finished products.
Inspect products for quality, weight, labeling, and appearance.
Report damaged or nonconforming products.
Clear minor material jams when trained and authorized.
Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
Monitor material flow to maintain production efficiency.
Move materials, products, pallets, and waste throughout the facility.
Complete production and quality documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
Report equipment issues, safety hazards, and material shortages.
Work effectively with production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse teams.
Operate forklifts or powered industrial equipment after proper certification.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to learn production equipment and manufacturing processes.
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Bend, squat, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.
Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Work around noise, heat, dust, machinery, and mobile equipment.
Wear required PPE throughout the shift.
