Position Details
- Location: Valencia, CA 91355
- Pay Rate: $21/HR
- Schedule: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, as needed (2-3 days a week)
- Employment Type: Part-Time
- Start Date: ASAP
- Care Setting: Private residence (one dog in the home)
Job Summary
Medica In-Home Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Caregiver to provide personalized in-home support to a participant in Valencia, CA. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and comfortable following established routines while providing a calm, supportive environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual care preferences are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders.
- Support personal care, including bathing and incontinence care as needed.
- Assist with laundry and light housekeeping.
- Accompany the participant on walks.
- Follow established care routines and respect individual preferences.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive home environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience preferred, particularly in private home settings.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Experience with redirection, conflict resolution, and de-escalation techniques.
- Comfortable working in a home with a dog.
- Flexible availability based on participant needs.
