Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving meals in accordance with planned menus, physician-ordered diets, sanitation standards, and facility policies. This position plays a critical role in supporting resident health, satisfaction, and overall well-being.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, production sheets, and dietary requirements

• Ensure meals are prepared attractively and served at appropriate temperatures

• Follow therapeutic and specialized diets as directed

• Maintain food quality, consistency, and portion control

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs

• Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation regulations

• Assist with kitchen cleaning and organization

• Work collaboratively with dietary staff and interdisciplinary team members

• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents

What We're Looking For

• Experience in healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, or institutional cooking preferred

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
