Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (12-Hour Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple inpatient units including ED Holding, PCU, ICU, and Medical-Surgical, with the ED Holding unit serving as the primary assignment area
• Manage a mixed patient population with varying acuity levels, including isolation patients and non-ambulatory patients, while maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MS 1:5)
• Perform ACLS transport of patients throughout the facility, including inpatient units, ED, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PACU, and Cath Lab as applicable to assignment
• Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV medication titration, vent management, invasive line management, chest tubes, and other unit-specific clinical skills
• Utilize facility EMR (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems accurately and efficiently
• Float within scope of practice to support staffing needs across units; must be flexible and resourceful in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Washington
• BLS certification required for all unit assignments
• ACLS certification required for ICU and PCU assignments
• NIHSS certification required for ICU and PCU assignments; required for Med-Surg as well
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the applicable care setting: ICU, PCU, or acute care Med-Surg
• Telemetry competency required; traveler telemetry competency assessment must be completed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with higher-level ICU therapies such as CRRT, hypothermia protocol, or prone positioning
• Experience caring for oncology, orthopedic, palliative, or inpatient rehabilitation patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
