Ophthalmic Assistant

Pride Health is seeking Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team in Galesburg, IL 61401. This is a 13-week contract with potential for extension.
 
Job Responsibilities:

• Obtain and document preliminary patient information for the ophthalmologist.
• Review patient status and perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing.
• Assist with patient documentation and education.
• Perform OCT, fundus photography, pachymetry, A-Scan measurements, and corneal topography.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic.
• Assist the ophthalmologist during examinations and procedures.
• Provide clear and professional communication with patients and the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications:
 

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• COA certification through IJCAHPO is preferred.
• Active Illinois license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

• Location: Galesburg, IL 61401
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Gross weekly pay: $1,413.20
• Hourly W2: $16.60/hour
• Weekly Stipend: $882.00
