Bakery Associate

Duties

• Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery items, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and standards
• Decorate cakes and pastries using cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications and presentation standards
• Package baked goods efficiently and attractively for sale or catering orders
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling products
• Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene in accordance with food safety regulations
• Support kitchen operations by cleaning workstations, utensils, and baking equipment regularly
• Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products, offering samples, and assisting with selections

Qualifications

• Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or food production is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and pastry preparation is highly desirable
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with baking tools and equipment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure consistent quality in all baked goods
• Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus but not mandatory
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude to deliver outstanding customer service
