Dispatcher - CDL & Passenger Endorsement Required

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and safety-focused Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation operations in Los Angeles. This role is responsible for scheduling drivers, planning routes, monitoring vehicle and driver activity, and ensuring transportation services run smoothly, safely, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can think on their feet, manage changing priorities, and keep drivers and customers informed throughout the day. A valid CDL and passenger endorsement are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation schedules and assign drivers, vehicles, and routes.
• Monitor driver availability, vehicle status, and route progress to ensure timely service.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal team members regarding schedules, delays, and route changes.
• Respond quickly to unexpected changes, scheduling conflicts, and transportation-related issues.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, schedules, and operational documentation.
• Ensure drivers follow company safety standards, procedures, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Use dispatch software and computer systems to track assignments and manage daily operations.
• Provide timely updates and help resolve customer or driver concerns professionally.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Passenger endorsement required.
• Previous experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, or fleet coordination is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and dispatch or scheduling software.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Los Angeles roads, local geography, and regional transportation routes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
