Material Handler – Operator I

Location: Memphis, TN 38118

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $17.00 / hour

Position Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler – Operator I (Logistics Associate 3) to join our warehouse team in Memphis, TN. In this role, you will perform a variety of essential warehouse functions under management supervision, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, quality assurance, and functional testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving Operations:
• • Process incoming freight, LTL shipments, and small parcels using non-driver methods, pallet jacks, or sit-down forklifts.
  • Handle non-conveyable items and assist with receiving coordination and scheduling.
  • Execute receiving triage, qualification, and functional testing/flashing.
• Shipping & Customer Support:
• • Process outbound LTL shipments using pallet jacks and/or sit-down forklifts.
  • Assist sales reps and customers at the Will Call station.
• Inventory Strategy & Quality Control (ISC):
• • Conduct inventory research, reconciliation, and cycle counting (driver).
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks, Exception Billing, and Quality Control inspections on incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist with excess cleanup.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Entry-level. Little to no prior experience required; experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or transportation environment is a plus.
