Child Services Case Manager

The Child Services Case Manager supports children in conservatorship by coordinating services, overseeing case plans, and working toward permanency goals, including reunification, kinship placement, or adoption. This role collaborates with families, caregivers, and community partners to help ensure children are placed in safe, stable, and nurturing environments.

Work Location: Field-Based Position – San Antonio and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children in care while supporting permanency planning and placement goals.
• Evaluate child safety, family needs, and appropriate placement options.
• Develop and implement service plans focused on reunification, kinship care, or adoption.
• Conduct home visits, family assessments, and meetings with families and service providers.
• Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and records in compliance with program requirements.
• Coordinate services with internal teams, courts, and community agencies.
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to children, families, and caregivers throughout the case management process.
• Address crisis situations and provide on-call assistance when needed.
• Participate in team meetings, required training sessions, and program activities.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Child Welfare or a related field or 60 college credit hours and two years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience may substitute for education.
