Engineer III-V – Energy Management Systems (EMS)

Salary: $104,822–$228,062 depending on level, experience, and qualifications.

Grant PUD is seeking an EMS Engineer to support mission-critical systems used to monitor and control the electric grid. This is an Operational Technology (OT) position.

Responsibilities:

• Support and troubleshoot EMS/SCADA platforms
• Configure displays, alarms, telemetry, and control points
• Integrate substations, switchyards, solar facilities, and transmission assets
• Support ICCP, AGC, and other utility system integrations
• Troubleshoot network, communications, and data issues
• Perform SQL queries and system validation
• Support NERC CIP compliance and cybersecurity requirements
• Partner with system operators, commissioning teams, and vendors

Qualifications:

• 3+ years relevant experience for Engineer III
• 6+ years for Engineer IV
• 10+ years for Engineer V
• Experience with EMS, SCADA, industrial controls, utility operations, power systems, or similar OT environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• SQL experience

Preferred: Utility experience, OSI Monarch, NERC CIP, ICCP, AGC, transmission/generation, substation automation, and experience working directly with system operators.
