Machine Operator

Mancan of Mount Vernon is hiring 3rd Shift Machine Operators in Mount Vernon, OH!
Mancan is partnering with a local manufacturing company to hire Machine Operators for their TY and 12" Boot production cells. These positions involve fabricating and assembling HVAC components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and motivated by production goals.

Schedule:
MondayThursday, 6:30 PM5:00 AM
Mandatory overtime as needed, including the possibility of working up to 7 days per week through the end of peak season
Training on 1st shift for approximately 48 weeks before transitioning to 3rd shift

Pay:
$18.50/hour during the temporary period
Once hired on full-time, pay transitions to a piece-rate structure, offering the opportunity to increase earnings based on productivity.

Job Duties:
Operate manufacturing equipment to fabricate and assemble TY fittings or 12" Boot components used in HVAC applications.
Produce three primary variations of TY fittings ranging from 4" to 18", or manufacture 12" Boot components through various fabrication processes.
Operate 56 manual and semi-automatic machines, depending on the production cell.
Measure materials and finished products accurately using a tape measure and other precision measuring tools.
Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and compliance with production standards.
Handle materials and monitor production output to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks while maintaining a consistent work pace.
Stand for extended periods and meet the physical demands of the position.
Cross-train in other production cells as needed.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and established quality standards while meeting production expectations.

Requirements:
Previous manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or production experience; manufacturing experience is required.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn machine operations and troubleshoot basic issues.
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and follow work instructions.
Ability to lift 40+ pounds regularly.
Previous forklift experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while meeting production goals.
Willingness to learn, cross-train, and work overtime as needed.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks safely and stand for extended periods.
