Job Description
We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional to lead the hospital's infection prevention program. The manager will oversee infection-control activities, monitor infection trends, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and guide the infection prevention team to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track infections acquired by patients in the hospital.
- Investigate infection outbreaks and identify their causes.
- Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures.
- Ensure the hospital follows healthcare safety and regulatory standards.
- Educate healthcare staff on proper infection-control practices.
- Analyze infection data and recommend improvements.
- Lead and support the infection prevention team.
- Work with hospital departments to reduce infection risks and improve patient safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in healthcare.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required by the start date. Candidates with an active RN license from another state may apply but must obtain California licensure before starting.
- Certified in Infection Control (CIC) certification through CBIC is required.
