Carpenter Technician

About this role

Full-time, hands-on carpenter technician role based in Sunset Valley serving the Austin area. You'll work outdoors installing water reclamation tanks, doing framing, sheet metal, light excavation, and setting up filtration equipment. Schedule is four 10-hour days with every Friday off; most work is local with occasional short trips within a few hours of Austin. This position is for a reliable tradesperson with 3-5 years of construction experience who wants a stable, long-term job and the chance to grow into a crew leader. The company provides training over 6-10 months to prepare the right person to run a 2-3 person crew. Travel is paid with hotel and per diem when required, and the role is permanent direct-hire with a full benefits package.

What you'll do

• Install water reclamation tanks and associated supports on outdoor sites
• Perform framing, sheet metal work, and basic carpentry tasks to spec
• Set up filtration equipment and assist with system hookups
• Perform light excavation and trench work to prepare installation sites
• Use power tools, measure and cut materials accurately, and read basic drawings
• Prepare jobsite, maintain tools and equipment, and follow site safety procedures

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years hands-on construction experience (carpentry and general construction)
• Comfortable using power tools, reading a tape measure, and interpreting basic drawings
• Experience with framing, sheet metal, and light excavation/trench work
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in variable conditions
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (non-negotiable)
• Strong references from recent construction employers

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record check
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Strong, verifiable work references
• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred but not required)
• Journeyman carpenter credential or equivalent field experience (preferred)
