Job Description
We are looking for a strategic finance leader to guide planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for the organization in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position works closely with executive and functional leaders to translate financial results into practical insights that support informed business decisions. The role combines long-range thinking with hands-on execution to strengthen reporting, improve visibility into performance, and support enterprise priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the development of monthly forecasts, quarterly updates, annual budgets, and longer-term financial plans using well-supported assumptions tied to business goals.
• Coordinate enterprise-wide planning activities by managing schedules, consolidating inputs, and promoting consistent standards across teams and financial models.
• Prepare executive-level reporting packages for monthly business reviews and Board presentations, highlighting performance trends, key metrics, and meaningful variance explanations.
• Produce financial analyses and presentation materials for investors, lenders, and other stakeholders while addressing follow-up questions with clear, data-driven support.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and finance partners to assess business results, challenge assumptions, control spending, and reinforce accountability for financial outcomes.
• Evaluate enterprise risks and opportunities by quantifying potential impacts on revenue, expenses, and operations, then communicating findings to leadership.
• Analyze major business drivers such as profitability, headcount, cash flow, liquidity, capital usage, and productivity to improve resource allocation and performance management.
• Support strategic initiatives through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development, including assessments of new investments and expected returns.
• Work closely with accounting teams to align forecasts with actual results, ensure consistent reporting treatment, and improve the connection between close and planning activities.
• Enhance FP& A processes by standardizing templates, automating recurring reports, and reducing manual effort to improve forecast accuracy and reporting efficiency.• 7+ years of experience in finance, FP& A, or related corporate finance leadership roles.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan development.
• Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, variance analysis, and executive-level performance reviews.
• Solid understanding of profit and loss management, cash flow forecasting, and key operational drivers.
• Ability to build financial models and translate complex data into concise recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders in a fast-paced business environment.
• Exposure to private equity-backed organizations, investor reporting, or lender communications is preferred.
