Injection Molding Process Technician

Position Type: Full-Time (temp to hire)

Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00 PM 6:00 AM, Monday Friday)

• Schedule Note: Saturday availability depending on workload. Training will take place on 1st shift for the first few weeks.

  Pay Rate: ~$26.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Process Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for machine startups, optimizing injection molding processes, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring that production schedules and quality standards are met in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization & Troubleshooting: Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot complex injection molding processes using a wide variety of engineered and commodity resins.

• Machine Startups & Monitoring: Perform machine startups; diagnose and correct process issues; ensure presses run correct, documented cycle times.

• Production Coordination: Coordinate with the Shift Foreman and Plant Manager to meet prescribed schedules and line-ups efficiently.

• Material & Tool Expertise: Provide technical knowledge regarding injection molding materials, tooling, and auxiliary support equipment.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor, enforce, and promote quality standards for all parts and assemblies to ensure full customer satisfaction.

• Production Tracking: Maintain and verify production counts against work release documentation.

• Safety & Compliance: Enforce Lockout/Tagout procedures, promote a safe and clean work environment, and ensure company policies are strictly followed.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 23 years of experience as a Process Technician in an injection molding environment.

• Certifications & Skills:

  • Authorized Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training/experience required.

  • Experience with Hi-Lo (forklift) and overhead crane operation required.

  • Familiarity with machine sizing and press specs (e.g., tonnage/clamping force capacity).

• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to make sound, independent decisions on the shop floor.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial manufacturing setting.

• Flexibility: Willingness to work regular overtime and weekends as workload demands.
