Position Summary

As a Line Cook, you’ll play a key role in preparing and executing our menu items to perfection. From ensuring food quality and consistency to maintaining a clean and organized workstation, you’ll help create the exceptional dining experience that our guests expect. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires focus, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation and Execution

• Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Accurately read and execute order tickets while managing ticket times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.

Food Safety and Sanitation

• Keep your workstation clean and organized throughout your shift.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper storage and labeling.
• Monitor food temperatures and adhere to safe handling practices.

Equipment and Kitchen Operations

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete routine equipment checks and follow cleaning protocols.

Teamwork and Professionalism

• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Maintain a respectful, professional attitude during busy periods.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of professional kitchen or restaurant food preparation experience.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and safe food handling.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion specifications, and maintain food quality standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and accept constructive feedback.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required food handler certification in California.

Previous experience in a breakfast or brunch restaurant is a plus but not required.

Schedule and Availability

• Daytime shifts only: No night shifts.
• Operating hours are approximately 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
