Mainframe Developer - CA-MMIS

Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Mainframe Developer – CA-MMIS position for our client.

Location: Remote; candidates local to Sacramento, CA preferred
Duration: 11 months

Duties:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and program logic.

• Design, develop, maintain, and support CA-MMIS applications in an IBM z/OS environment.

• Support Medicaid Accounts Receivable (AR), cash control, and healthcare claims processing.

• Develop and maintain integrations using z/OS Connect APIs, DVM APIs, and AWS Cloud services.

• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing; troubleshoot defects and provide production support.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver reliable application solutions.

Skills:

• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.

• Knowledge of IBM z/OS tools and utilities, including TSO/ISPF and REXX.

• Experience with API development, mainframe integration, and cloud connectivity.

• Strong analytical, debugging, testing, and technical documentation skills.

Experience:

• 5+ years of mainframe application development, maintenance, and support experience.

• Experience with business requirements analysis, application design, development, and testing.

• Healthcare claims processing and CA-MMIS experience preferred.

• Experience with Medicaid AR, cash control processing, z/OS Connect, DVM APIs, and AWS integration preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00 to $55.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
