Cashier - Now Hiring

Start as a Cashier. Grow Into a Leader.

At Sharky’s Woodfired Mexican Grill, we’re looking for friendly, dependable cashiers who want to grow into Shift Managers.

We are a fast casual Mexican restaurant focused on fresh food, genuine hospitality, and teamwork. Our paid eight week leadership training program provides practical experience, manager coaching, and clear feedback to help you succeed.

Pay and Training

Weeks 1 to 3: Cashier
$20.00 per hour plus tips

Learn guest service, menu knowledge, register and kiosk operations, order accuracy, cleanliness, and restaurant standards.

Weeks 4 to 6: Lead Cashier Development
$20.50 per hour plus tips upon promotion

Build skills in coordinating orders, catering, inventory, handling guest concerns, opening and closing procedures, and supporting teammates.

Weeks 7 and 8: Shift Manager Training
$21.00 per hour plus tips upon certification and promotion

Learn to lead shifts, coordinate responsibilities, manage employee breaks, handle cash, and maintain food safety and service standards.

Advancement depends on demonstrated performance, skills, and leadership readiness. Additional training time may be needed before certification.

Schedule and Full Time Opportunity

Start with approximately 20 to 28 hours per week during training. After successfully completing the eight week program and earning your Shift Manager certification, you will have the opportunity to transition into a full time Shift Manager position with full time hours.

Please share your consistent availability and preferred weekly hours. We will discuss scheduling expectations during the interview, including the availability needed for the Shift Manager role.

What You Will Do

• Welcome guests, explain menu options, and recommend food and drinks
• Take accurate orders, process payments, and assist with kiosk ordering
• Help assemble, check, and hand out dine in, pickup, and catering orders
• Keep the dining room and service areas clean, organized, and stocked
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Communicate with teammates and support efficient service

Who We’re Looking For

Restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is preferred, but restaurant experience is not required.
