This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can independently manage case files, coordinate litigation deadlines, communicate with clients, and provide comprehensive support throughout the personal injury claims and litigation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of plaintiff-side personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial preparation.
- Provide direct paralegal support to one or more attorneys, ensuring cases progress efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Coordinate medical records and billing requests, maintain treatment updates, and organize supporting documentation for damages and settlement demands.
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.
- Assist with drafting demand packages, settlement documentation, and other case-related materials.
- Track court deadlines, discovery schedules, depositions, hearings, and other critical litigation dates.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, independent medical examinations, and other litigation-related appointments.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic case files, ensuring all documentation is current and accessible.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and preparation of case materials.
- Monitor case progress, follow up on outstanding records and documentation, and proactively identify issues requiring attorney attention.
- Handle competing priorities effectively while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
- Mandatory plaintiff-side personal injury law firm experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing a high volume of personal injury cases simultaneously.
- Experience supporting one or more attorneys in a busy personal injury practice.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury claims, litigation procedures, discovery, medical records, and settlement documentation.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, written communication, and client-service skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work full-time, fully in-office in Downtown Miami, Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing cases through litigation, settlement, and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with Florida civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
- Experience with legal calendaring systems, electronic filing, and medical records management.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate is a seasoned plaintiff-side Personal Injury Paralegal who thrives in a high-volume practice, takes ownership of case management, anticipates attorney needs, and can efficiently support multiple cases without sacrificing accuracy or client service.
