As a Sales Agent, you will implement marketing strategies to develop a strong network of prospective clients. You will develop leads and contact them via phone and face-to-face to market insurance products. You will service existing clients, conduct annual reviews, and seek opportunities to present products to enhance their insurance portfolio.
An ideal candidate will have a GED or H.S. diploma and be licensed to sell insurance in the state. Must be able to use a computer to conduct sales presentations and have strong customer service skills to help develop and grow a client base. Any offer of employment would be contingent on a clean background check.
Responsibilities for Insurance Sales Agent:
- Proactively network, prospect, and develop new business opportunities.
- Utilize lead lists to establish contact and schedule appointments with prospective clients.
- Meet with prospective clients to assess their insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Conduct policy reviews with existing clients to evaluate coverage needs, identify gaps, and recommend adjustments as appropriate.
- Engage in phone prospecting, face-to-face prospecting, and social media marketing efforts.
- Prepare accurate insurance proposals and bind quality policies with strong attention to detail, ensuring coverage recommendations prioritize the customer's individual needs and best interests rather than price alone.
- Educate clients on coverage options, policy limitations, and available protections to help them make informed insurance decisions.
- Uphold the agency's standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical sales practices while building lasting customer relationships.
- Solicit referrals from satisfied clients to support continued agency growth.
Qualifications for Insurance Sales Agent:
- Must be licensed in the state
- Ability to pass a background check
- Meet state continuing education requirements
- Ability to use a computer
- Demonstrate great customer service skills
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accountability, and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the sales process.
- Strong ethical judgment and a customer-first approach to insurance recommendations.
- Ability to balance sales performance goals with quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Salary: $36,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Supplemental pay types:
