Warehouse Operator

JOB SUMMARY

Spherion Staffing is seeking detail-oriented Warehouse Operators for a 24/7 operating, climate controlled data center in Vernon, TX. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers wage increases and growth potential, so we are looking for high performing light industrial professionals looking to make the next step in their career!

Assigned to one of four specialized teams, you will be responsible for managing small-parts inventory, rack assembly, receiving, or returns. Pay rate starts at $21.00/hr.

Available shifts as follows. An employee would work three(3) 12-hour shifts a week and would be scheduled to work every other Saturday. 1 week would be 36 hours, and 48 hours the next.

- A day: Wednesday - Friday, 5:30am - 6pm

- B day: Sunday - Tuesday, 5:30 am - 6pm

- C night: Wednesday - Friday, 5:30pm - 6am

- D night: Sunday - Tuesday, 5:30pm - 6am

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product using a pallet jack. Use WMS inventory systems for scanning, tracking, and small-parts processing.

- Responsible for counting and inspecting product and verify that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies.

- Stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as determined by client requirements.

- Using the appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled and shipped correctly.

- Associates are responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and are required to maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area and assist in security of the warehouse.

- Associates are responsible for the upkeep of equipment and reporting of equipment problems.

- Associates will operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner and follow prescribed work methods.

- Perform or assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as assigned.

- Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

- Maintain punctuality, clear communication, and high professional decorum on-site with the client.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment

- Advanced proficiency on computers with accurate data entry skills

- Extremely detail oriented and can accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.

- Must be able to pass strict criminal background requirements

- Will be responsible for obtaining ESD-rated composite toe safety boots that go over the ankle

SKILLS

- Can read, write, and speak English

- Mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.

- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.

- Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.

- Willing to comply with dress code

- Perform physical duties daily: standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
