McDaniel Metals, LLC is a manufacturer specializing in custom sheet metal components and products for the HVAC industry. We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our Shipping & Receiving team.

This position is responsible for delivering finished products to customers and transporting materials between our two Houston-area manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in safe driving, on-time deliveries, proper material handling, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company-owned box trucks for local deliveries and material transfers.
• Deliver fabricated sheet metal HVAC components and finished products to customer locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Verify orders, quantities, and shipping documentation before departure.
• Ensure products are properly loaded, balanced, secured, and protected from damage during transportation.
• Coordinate with Shipping personnel and forklift operators during loading and unloading.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Communicate delivery delays, damaged products, shortages, or discrepancies to supervision.
• Follow all traffic laws, company safety policies, and applicable DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe company vehicle.
• Represent McDaniel Metals professionally when interacting with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of box truck or commercial delivery driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle - Class C.
• Acceptable driving record; must meet company insurance requirements.
• Experience conducting vehicle safety inspections.
• Knowledge of proper cargo securement and safe loading practices.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents and delivery instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Manufacturing, warehouse, HVAC, or building materials delivery experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs., with assistance or equipment when appropriate.
• Ability to work outdoors and in warehouse/manufacturing environments.
