PrideStaff is currently hiring MULTIPLE reliable and safety-conscious Case Pickers / Electric Pallet Jack Operators to join our client’s state-of-the-art cold storage facility in Joliet, IL. In this role, you will operate electric pallet jack equipment to select, build, and prepare customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.

1st Shift:
Wednesday-Sunday 5:00am- 3:30pm with a starting hourly pay rate of $22.00. 

• $22.00 for Wed-Fri Hours
• 23.50 (this includes $1.50 shift differential) for Sat-Sun

2nd Shift:

Monday-Friday 4:00pm- 12:00am with a starting hourly pay rate of $22.00 + $1.50 shift differential; $23.50.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-use safety and operational inspections on pallet jacks and material handling equipment.
• Drive electric pallet jacks through cold storage zones to select products according to order pick lists or voice-directed systems.
• Ensure exact accuracy by verifying item selections against correct lot numbers, product codes, and descriptions.
• Record picked quantities using site-specific RF scanners and inventory management equipment to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Mark materials and pallets with identifying information, labels, or shipping tags.
• Open cases, boxes, or containers as necessary to fulfill order specifications.
• Stack and arrange products securely on pallets to build safe, stable loads for transport and delivery.
• Inspect items for quality and immediately report damaged goods or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
• Work safely around other warehouse machinery while following all company and regulatory safety policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience operating electric pallet jacks (end-riders/rider jacks) in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Must be capable of working continuously in cold storage temperatures as low as -20°ree;F / -25°ree;C (or dry storage areas up to 100°ree;F / 37°ree;C depending on assignment). Full thermal gear and protective clothing provided.
• Ability to lift, stack, and move items weighing 40+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Strong basic math capabilities for inventory counting, lot verification, and order checking.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English, including potential voice-command picking systems.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime or weekends if required by production needs.
• Comfortable working in an active, temperature-controlled distribution center with varying noise levels.
