Automotive Service Manager

The Automotive Service Manager will oversee operations for a dealership service department and fleet maintenance facility, managing fewer than 20 vehicles daily while reporting to the General Manager. This role coordinates technicians, customers, work orders, estimates, parts, safety, and performance, with opportunities to advance into fixed operations management or senior service leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service operations for dealership and fleet maintenance activities.
• Schedule technicians and coordinate workflow to support efficient vehicle servicing.
• Manage work orders, repair estimates, and service documentation.
• Deliver responsive customer service and address service-related concerns.
• Coordinate parts availability and support inventory management activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and service procedures.
• Track operational performance and prepare financial and service reports.
• Process warranty claims and support conflict resolution within the service operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive service management.
• Automotive Service Technology diploma or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with service management software and repair estimating.
• Knowledge of inventory management and warranty processing.
• Demonstrated team leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with financial reporting.
