Interim HR Director

Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Interim HR Director to provide temporary coverage during the current HR Director's leave.

With 15 locations and approximately 70 open positions, the organization needs a hands-on HR professional who can lead recruiting efforts, support the HR team, and navigate complex employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruiting efforts for approximately 70 open positions, many of which are teaching roles, using Indeed and the organization's career website.
• Provide guidance and support to five direct reports, facilitate weekly team meetings, and maintain departmental priorities.
• Research and resolve complex HR issues, including ADA-related matters and labor relations.
• Support day-to-day HR functions and provide continuity during the HR Director's absence. Payroll processing is not part of this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in HR leadership, HR management, or a senior HR generalist role.
• Strong talent acquisition and high-volume recruiting experience.
• Experience handling complex employee relations matters, including ADA and labor relations.
• Strong research, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Ability to provide hands-on team leadership and work independently.
• Paycom experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check.
