Delivery Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable Delivery Driver with strong customer service skills and attention to detail. This position involves preparing customer orders, planning daily delivery routes, safely transporting products, and ensuring deliveries are accurate and completed on time. The ideal candidate is organized, courteous, and comfortable helping with warehouse duties when needed.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and invoices for errors and ensure corrections are made before delivery.
• Pick and verify customer orders against invoices.
• Plan daily delivery routes, prioritizing customers with specific delivery deadlines.
• Load delivery vehicles in the proper order for each route.
• Drive safely, follow traffic laws, and provide courteous service to customers.
• Deliver, unload, and neatly stock products at customer locations.
• Verify delivered items and quantities, obtain customer signatures, and collect checks when required.
• Complete delivery records, prepare check deposit documentation, and report billing or inventory discrepancies.
• Assist with unloading and stocking incoming shipments using first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures.
• Maintain an organized warehouse and assist other drivers with loading as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery driving or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to organize routes and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable loading, unloading, and handling products.
• Basic paperwork, recordkeeping, and invoice verification skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This position combines driving, customer interaction, order preparation, and warehouse work. Candidates should be comfortable with an active role that requires organization, physical work, and timely deliveries.
