About Us

20/20 Eye Club Optometry is seeking a friendly, motivated Optical Sales Associate to join our family-owned practice and premium eyewear boutique. This role combines personalized customer service, eyewear styling, and sales in a modern, welcoming environment.

Established in 1995, our practice relocated to a larger, modern space in Sunnyvale in July 2025. We pair designer eyewear collections, including LINDBERG and Chanel, with advanced lens technology and attentive patient care.

No previous optical experience is required—we provide training. We welcome applicants with retail sales, hospitality, or customer service experience who are eager to learn and grow with our team.

Responsibilities

• Style and sell eyewear: Help patients select frames that complement their appearance and meet their comfort, lifestyle, and budget needs.
• Explain lens options: Learn to recommend lenses, coatings, and other features based on each patient’s prescription and daily activities.
• Guide purchasing decisions: Explain recommendations and pricing clearly, answer questions, and confidently help patients complete their purchases without pressure.
• Provide insurance guidance: Verify vision benefits, including VSP and EyeMed, and explain coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
• Measure, fit, and dispense: Learn to take optical measurements, fit and adjust eyewear, and perform minor repairs.
• Manage orders and follow-through: Place eyewear and contact lens orders, maintain accurate records, track progress, and keep patients informed.
• Support the front office: Greet patients, answer phones, and assist with scheduling, check-in, and payments as needed.
• Maintain the boutique: Keep frame displays, merchandise, and patient areas clean, organized, and welcoming.

Training will be provided for optical products, insurance procedures, measurements, and eyewear adjustments.

Previous retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus, especially in fashion, cosmetics, jewelry, or eyewear.

Korean, Mandarin, or Vietnamese language skills are helpful for serving our patients but are not required.

Schedule and Location

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Saturday availability is required.
• Business hours: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Closed Sundays.
• In-person position in Sunnyvale, CA 94087; reliable attendance and the ability to commute to our office are required.

Compensation

• No optical experience or less than three years of optical experience: Starting at $21 per hour, with training provided.
• At least three years of optical experience: Starting at $29 per hour.
