Aluminum Shhipfitter

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Lay out, align, fit, and assemble structural steel and aluminum components.
• Fabricate and install bulkheads, decks, foundations, and structural supports.
• Perform tack welding using FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes.
• Operate cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
• Perform precision measurements, fit-up, and structural alignment.
• Follow all shipyard safety and quality standards.

• Minimum 5 years of structural fitting or shipfitting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong blueprint reading and fabrication skills.
• Experience with steel plate, beams, and structural assemblies.
• Proficiency in tack welding and applicable military welding standards.
• Experience operating rigging equipment, overhead cranes, and fabrication tools.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must pass required tack welding certifications and qualification testing.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
• Must be available for overtime and various shifts as needed.
