Quality Technician
Fort Worth, TX
$18-$20/hr
5am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday
We are hiring an experienced Quality Inspector for a busy manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for inspecting machined parts, verifying measurements, and making sure finished products meet blueprint specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience working around CNC machining and be comfortable reading blueprints and using precision measuring equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect machined parts throughout the production process
- Perform first article inspections on parts produced by CNC lathes and mills
- Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances
- Use micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges, GAGEMAKER equipment, and other precision measuring tools
- Document inspection results and quality information accurately
- Identify parts that do not meet specifications and follow procedures for nonconforming material
- Verify measuring equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
- Work closely with production and machining teams to address quality concerns
- Complete routine inspections on active work orders
- Follow established safety and quality procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with process and quality improvements as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, CNC machining, or a related environment
- Experience reading manufacturing blueprints
- Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and machined parts
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers
- Basic computer skills for entering inspection and quality information
- Good math and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate and work well with production team members
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Willing to perform repetitive inspection tasks as needed
