Special Education Para Professional in Archbald, PA

Preferred Qualifications & Required Experience:

• High school diploma (required)
• Previous school-based paraprofessional experience and/or professional experience working with children
• Proven ability to work comfortably with special education students, including those with feeding, toileting, diapering, and mobility needs
• Willingness to engage in feeding, repositioning, and changing of students as needed
• Ability to obtain and maintain PA clearances for school employment
• Reliable personal transportation for onsite attendance
• No work or physical restrictions that would limit duties in this classroom setting

Responsibilities:

• Support instructional activities and reinforce lessons in collaboration with certified staff
• Offer direct assistance to students with special needs, including feeding, toileting, diapering, and repositioning as required
• Foster a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere, ensuring all students’ comfort and dignity
• Respond promptly to student needs throughout the school day
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all school policies
