CNC Machine Operator
$20-$22.50/hr
4:00pm -1am
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating CNC machinery, making necessary adjustments to meet part specifications, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Job Duties:
- Operate CNC machines in a production environment
- Inspect machines and equipment before use to ensure they are operating safely and properly
- Make machine offsets and adjustments as needed to meet part specifications
- Read and understand blueprints
- Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet required specifications
- Collect and record production and quality data
- Identify and communicate equipment or production issues to the supervisor
- Perform basic troubleshooting and suggest process improvements when appropriate
- Clean equipment and maintain an organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous CNC machining experience preferred
- Experience using precision measuring tools and gauges
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Basic computer skills
- Comfortable performing basic shop math, including fractions and decimals
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform bending, reaching, kneeling, and other physical activities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified by the employer
Ideal Candidate:
Someone with hands-on CNC experience who is comfortable making machine adjustments, reading blueprints, measuring finished parts, and working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
