Desired Qualifications:

• Previous paraprofessional experience, especially in school settings
• Solid understanding of academic assistance, including adapting tasks and assignments
• Background working with behavioral support and implementing interventions
• Familiarity with facilitating communication, including non-verbal or augmentative systems
• Experience supporting self-help skills and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Comfort working with students of varying abilities, ages, and needs
• Collaborative working style and strong communication skills with educators, providers, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and one-on-one support across PK-8th grade as needed
• Assist with academic instruction, adapting materials and reinforcing lessons
• Support students in implementing behavioral plans and strategies
• Facilitate communication with both verbal and non-verbal students, using appropriate tools and methods
• Help students with daily routines, promoting independence in self-help and ADL tasks
• Maintain a safe, positive environment conducive to learning and growth
• Document student progress and communicate observations to teachers and other team members
