\nCompany Description
Diversified Support Services is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Mechanic to support manufacturing operations in the Birmingham area. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, PLC experience, and a background in manufacturing maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery, conveyor systems, motors, pneumatic equipment, and related mechanical systems.
- Diagnose equipment issues, replace defective components, and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and metalworking equipment to maintain and repair machinery.
- Support production line operations, including equipment setup, repairs, welding, burning, and electrical maintenance as needed.
- Follow all food safety requirements, company training programs, and additional duties assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience required.
- PLC experience is required.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
- Industrial Electrician experience preferred.
- Multi-Craft Industrial experience preferred.
Schedule & Pay
- Starting pay: $25.00 - $32.00 DOE and Shift
- Full-time schedule; shift details provided during the hiring process.
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs.
