Florida Dermatologic Surgery & Aesthetics Institute is a busy dermatology practice dedicated to providing quality patient care. We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and professional Medical Assistant to join our team. We are seeking the right person to grow with our practice and become a valued member of our team.

Dermatology experience is a plus, but we are willing to consider candidates with a medical assisting background who are eager to learn and grow in the field of dermatology.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will work alongside our providers and clinical team to assist with patient care, dermatologic procedures, and daily clinical operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other providers with patient examinations and dermatologic procedures.

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and properly stocked.

• Obtain and document patient histories and other relevant medical information.

• Record patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.

• Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.

• Assist with skin biopsies, excisions, and other dermatologic treatments as directed by the provider.

• Maintain proper infection control and sterilization procedures.

• Ensure examination rooms are properly cleaned and prepared between patients.

• Assist with patient flow to help keep appointments running efficiently.

• Provide excellent patient service and help patients feel comfortable during their visits.

• Follow office policies and established clinical procedures.

• Work collaboratively with providers and other staff members to maintain an efficient clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant experience.

• Previous dermatology experience is a plus, but not required.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Dependable, punctual, and professional.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing quality patient care.
