Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Twinsburg, OH. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring extrusion equipment to produce high-quality thermoplastic materials that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, start, and operate extrusion machinery to manufacture thermoplastic products according to work orders and specifications.
• Load raw materials and support the material mixing, drying, and feeding processes.
• Monitor machine performance, temperatures, feed rates, and control systems to ensure efficient production and product quality.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain production standards and minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and production lines to identify defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and safely shut down equipment when necessary.
• Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up, operating, and monitoring production equipment with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Experience with plastic manufacturing or extrusion processes.
• Experience operating twin-screw or single-screw extruders.
• Forklift or tow motor experience.
• Ability to perform minor machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Basic mechanical repair experience (automotive maintenance experience such as replacing brakes is a plus).
