Apartment Maintenance Technician Part-Time

We are seeking a Part-time Maintenance for a new lease up property located in Bozeman.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time Maintenance Technician/Interior Painter to join our team at The Kestrel Apartments, a brand-new luxury mid-rise apartment community. The ideal candidate will deliver a high level of customer service and be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance including grounds and trash management.
• Perform duties necessary to restore apartments to “rent ready” status and ensure that all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule in accordance with the Company’s Apartment Make-Ready Policy.
• Perform plumbing and appliance repairs and installations, including troubleshooting.
• Execute mechanical repairs, including the maintenance of HVAC systems, plumbing, and other mechanical components.
• Perform residential painting projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Utilize an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and inventory of supplies.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents, staff or management.
• Participate in emergency "on-call" after hours rotation.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of Bozeman, MT.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in apartment maintenance is essential.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication within the team and with management.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Participation in emergency maintenance on-call rotation required.
• Overtime and weekends as needed.
