Retail Staff Pharmacist - Diboll, Texas

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacist is needed to cover a maternity leave from December 2026 through February 2027 in Diboll, TX. This contract position offers flexible scheduling options within store hours of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with two shifts available to accommodate your preferences:

• 1st Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexible end times between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM)
• 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible end times between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM)

Responsibilities include consistently exemplifying core company values while providing exceptional customer service. You will perform the final verification of prescriptions, ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations including HIPAA. You’ll communicate effectively with prescribers and patients regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage instructions. Maintaining quality assurance, handling controlled substances securely, and managing hazardous waste disposal are critical parts of this role.

Key duties also involve answering pharmacy phone calls, retrieving messages and prescriptions via voicemail, counseling patients as needed, and resolving customer conflicts both in person and over the phone. Note that this location does not provide vaccinations or medication therapy management (MTM) services.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a pharmacist
• Active and clear Texas pharmacist license
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow strict protocols and quality assurance procedures
