Job Description

Make a difference in student lives while advancing your career as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting K-12 learners across four school buildings. This contract position offers the opportunity to impact classrooms, collaborate with educators, and support a diverse range of students.

As an OT, you’ll provide district-wide services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, helping them achieve their educational goals and develop critical life skills. For the COTA, your focus will be on grades 5–12, with additional support for some 2nd–4th grade students under the supervision of the district OT.

Both in-person and virtual candidates are welcome to apply, making this an excellent opportunity for those who value flexibility and the chance to pitch their skills in a modern educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Vermont OT or COTA certificate required
  • Experience supporting school-aged children in K–12 settings preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Comfort using digital platforms for service provision (for virtual candidates)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions and support according to students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to foster a supportive environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state guidelines
  • Provide education and consultation to school staff and families as needed

This full-time role offers a weekly schedule of 35–37.5 hours during the academic year from late August to mid-June.

Step into a rewarding position where your expertise will uplift students and help shape their futures. If you’re passionate about making an impact, submit your Vermont OT/COTA certificate and resume today to take the next step.

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.23 to $60.23. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
