Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Holyoke, CO

A retail pharmacy associated with a hospital in Holyoke, Colorado is seeking a professional Staff Pharmacist for per diem coverage. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of pharmacy operations during key coverage dates, providing patient care and medication management in a well-supported environment.

Location: Holyoke, Colorado
Type: Per Diem
Assignment Dates: November 24th, 25th, and 27th
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM with a one-hour lunch break

Responsibilities:

• Provide thorough patient counseling to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions with attention to detail
• Perform final verifications for all prescriptions to maintain compliance and safety
• Assume managerial responsibility of pharmacy operations during assigned shifts
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of two full-time pharmacy technicians and one PRN pharmacist
• Manage approximately 500 prescriptions per week, ensuring smooth workflow

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active and clear Colorado Pharmacist license required
• Recent experience as a pharmacist preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong commitment to patient care and pharmacy management
• Ability to confidently oversee pharmacy operations independently
