School Registered Nurse | Surprise, Arizona

Make an immediate impact as a contract Registered Nurse providing dedicated 1:1 support to a preschool student in a welcoming educational environment near Surprise and Avondale, AZ. This important role ensures a safe, supportive school experience for a young student with a tracheostomy and increased care needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Arizona RN license
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Hands-on experience with tracheostomy care and aspiration
• Background in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to a preschool student with a tracheostomy, including aspiration as needed
• Monitor the student’s health status and intervene appropriately, collaborating with school staff and other healthcare team members
• Maintain detailed and accurate care documentation and communicate updates to guardians and school personnel
• Assist with the student’s daily routines and health needs in the classroom setting, including toileting support
• Uphold the utmost standards of safety, empathy, and professionalism at all times

Position Details:

• Full-time, contract assignment
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (11:13AM–2:44PM), with every other Wednesday following an early-release schedule (7:15AM–12:17PM)
• Assignment runs ASAP – 5/21/26
